Sakarya Commodity Exchange (STB) Board Chairman Mustafa Genç made important statements, stating that animal movement in the province has increased before the upcoming Eid al-Adha. Chairman Genç announced that all preparations for the STB Livestock Exchange have been completed completely so that citizens can obtain their sacrificial animals in a healthier and safer shopping environment.
STB Livestock Exchange Paddock Rental Process Begins
President Mustafa Genç reminded that the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce Livestock Exchange is open every Tuesday and stated that special arrangements were made considering the high demand before Eid al-Adha. In this context, he announced that the rental period for cattle and sheep paddocks will start as of Monday, April 21. Genç stated that citizens who want to sell sacrificial animals can benefit from the paddock rental service by contacting the exchange. He emphasized that this application will both create a regular sales area for sellers and provide a more organized environment for buyers.
Vital Elements to Consider When Buying a Sacrificial Animal
President Mustafa Genç, who also touched upon the critical points that citizens should pay attention to during the sacrificial animal purchase process, reminded that the sacrificial ritual has human health, animal health, environmental, economic and hygiene dimensions. He drew attention to the fact that animal shipments carried out outside of veterinary control and sales made in unlicensed areas in particular create a suitable ground for the spread of contagious animal diseases. Genç underlined that such risky situations pose serious threats to both animal health and human health.
Calling on citizens to always choose licensed animal markets where animals with official permits and health checks are available when purchasing sacrificial animals, President Genç emphasized that this way, possible health problems and financial losses can be prevented. He stated that animals purchased from unlicensed and uncontrolled sales points have a high risk of carrying diseases and that this situation can negatively affect not only the buyer but also the animal health in the entire region.
Sakarya Commodity Exchange Offers a Safe and Fair Market
President Genç proudly stated that the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce Livestock Market offers an exemplary application in this regard. He stated that all transactions carried out in the market are carried out in accordance with official procedures and under the meticulous control of veterinarians. He emphasized that a safe and hygienic environment is provided in which Sakarya citizens can shop with peace of mind.
In addition, President Genç, who stated that the presence of many different sellers in the STB Live Animal Market also creates an important balance in terms of prices, said that this competitive environment prevents citizens from facing high prices. Genç, who stated that thanks to the variety of animals offered in the market, citizens can more easily find the sacrificial animal that best suits their needs and budgets, added that these advantages offered by the STB Live Animal Market create a fair and transparent market environment for both buyers and sellers. Wishing that the Eid al-Adha be spent in peace and health, President Genç invited all citizens to the STB Live Animal Exchange.
