New Rail Grinding Machine Vulcano LGT 10M Arrives in Poland

Italian railway maintenance equipment manufacturer SRT (Servizi Ricerche Tecnologiche) has delivered a state-of-the-art rail grinding machine, the Vulcano LGT 10M, to DOLKOM Sp. z oo, a subsidiary of Poland’s national infrastructure operator PKP PLK. The delivery is one of DOLKOM’s major steps in modernising its railway maintenance fleet and improving service quality.

The Vulcano LGT 10M rail grinding machine, part of SRT’s Vulcano Light series, is a high-performance vehicle equipped with a Stage V diesel engine that meets the latest European emission standards. This advanced machine is capable of processing both standard railway rails and complex switch structures with high precision. In the design of this rail grinding machine, meticulously manufactured at the SRT facility in Fano, Italy, engineers have successfully integrated modern technologies and an environmentally friendly engine. DOLKOM’s investment aims to support an environmentally friendly approach by making the maintenance and repair processes of railway infrastructure more efficient, while also reducing harmful emissions.
