
Muğla Metropolitan Municipality teams responded to a boat fire that broke out in a private marina in Fethiye with 11 fire trucks and 30 personnel.
A fire broke out on a boat moored in a private marina in the Karagözler Neighborhood of the Fethiye district of Muğla at around 10:08.30 on Thursday, April 11 for an unknown reason. The Metropolitan Fire Department teams quickly responded to the fire with 30 fire trucks and 200 personnel. Due to the strong wind, the flames quickly spread to other boats. In addition to the Metropolitan Fire Department teams, the Coastal Safety General Directorate and Coast Guard teams also intervened in the fire. Only four boats were damaged in the fire that broke out in the marina where approximately 4 boats were moored.
In a statement made by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, it was stated that “A fire broke out on a boat at around 08.30:08.32 in the morning in a private marina located in the Karagözler Neighborhood, Fevzi Çakmak Street, Fethiye district, within the responsibility area of the Fethiye Port Authority. Our teams took action at around 08.40:11 and started to intervene in the boat fire at around 30:XNUMX. The fire was intervened with XNUMX vehicles and XNUMX personnel. There were no injuries or loss of life in the boat fires. Work continues to determine the cause of the fire.”
