Capcom is issuing a serious warning to players for its highly anticipated new game, Monster Hunter Wilds. The latest statement stated that there will be zero tolerance for unauthorized data editing and that players participating in rogue missions may have their gaming experience negatively affected. The company is urging players to be especially careful as modded missions can disrupt the game's balance and make parts of it completely unplayable.
Following the release of update 1.010 for Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom announced that they have detected unauthorized and fraudulent data in the game's High Rank missions. In a warning shared on the company's official social media accounts, players are advised to immediately pause the game if they encounter a suspicious or unusual mission. Capcom emphasized that such manipulated data can seriously affect the normal gameplay experience and even cause parts of the game to become completely dysfunctional.
The informative image shared by Capcom also listed some important clues for players to easily identify modded missions. These signs include the absence of monsters that would normally be present in the mission, unusually high item limits, and more than six reward slots in single-target missions. The company announced that additional measures will be taken in future updates to more effectively detect such fraudulent data. One of the most important warnings to players is that if they suspect a modded mission, they should definitely exit the game without saving. Otherwise, it is stated that their game may be permanently damaged by the fraudulent data being processed into the save.
The free Title Update 1, released in early April, added new challenges that allowed players to achieve the fastest hunt times and compete in rankings. However, Capcom did not neglect to warn players that cheating in rankings could still occur at the time. The company clearly stated that player accounts that engage in unfair activities such as using external software and cheats will be suspended indefinitely, and that all in-game achievements and time earned through these means will be voided. Capcom added that it will continue to strictly monitor such fraudulent activities in order to ensure that the Monster Hunter Wilds community has a fair and enjoyable gaming experience. This determined stance clearly demonstrates Capcom's seriousness about protecting the integrity of the game. It is of great importance for players to heed these warnings, avoid resorting to unfair means, and follow Capcom's guidelines in suspicious situations to maintain a healthy gaming environment.
