Great Interest in Barista Training in Kuşadası

The Barista Bus, the mobile training vehicle of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Vocational Factory, met with young people in Kuşadası, the pearl of the Aegean. 20 young people who participated in the 12-hour barista training given at the beginner level learned the intricacies of preparing delicious drinks from coffee beans from expert trainers. During the training, the focus was on the basic elements of the barista profession such as coffee brewing techniques, the art of milk frothing, equipment use and customer communication.

A certificate ceremony was held at İsmail Cem Friendship and Peace Square for the 12 young people who successfully completed their education. Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Vocational Factory Manager Zeki Kapı and Kuşadası Women's Platform representatives attended the ceremony. Mayor Günel, who was with the young people on this important day, emphasized the importance of gaining new skills and thanked İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay and Kuşadası Women's Platform for supporting the project.

Importance of Service Sector in Tourism City

Mayor Ömer Günel stated that the service sector plays a vital role in a tourism-focused city like Kuşadası. In this context, he announced that the new generation coffee preparation and presentation training cooperation initiated with İzmir Metropolitan Municipality will continue. These 12 young people, who have earned their certificates by receiving training on the Mobile Barista Bus, are also the first group of students from outside İzmir to participate in the training. This situation proves once again how interesting and useful the project is.

New Employment Doors Are Opening for Young People

The Mobile Barista Bus project not only increases the professional skills of young people, but also offers them new employment opportunities. Young people who receive barista training can find work opportunities in tourism businesses such as cafes, restaurants and hotels thanks to their certificates. Since the need for qualified baristas is always high, especially in a vibrant tourist resort like Kuşadası, these trainings help young people make a solid start in their careers.
