Karabük Logistics Center Project Received Approval

The Logistics Center Project planned to be established in Karabük, which was previously announced by Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, has successfully passed an important stage. The project was discussed and unanimously accepted at the Logistics Coordination Board Meeting held in Ankara under the chairmanship of Transport and Infrastructure Deputy Minister Enver İskurt.

The meeting was attended by Karabük Governor Mustafa Yavuz, AK Party Karabük Deputies Cem Şahin and Durmuş Ali Keskinkılıç, Provincial Assembly President Ahmet Sözen, Provincial Special Administration Secretary General Şerafettin Kelleci, Karabük Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO) President Fatih Çapraz, Western Black Sea Development Agency (BAKKA) Deputy Secretary General Mehmet Çetinkaya, Karabük Investment Support Office Coordinator Ş. Adem Yazıcı and board member representatives of relevant ministries.

Karabük's Aim to Become a Logistics Base is Getting Stronger

The project that was accepted aims to significantly strengthen Karabük’s current capacity in the fields of industry, transportation and logistics. With the implementation of the project, Karabük is aimed to become a strategic logistics base for the Western Black Sea Region. In this context, the Logistics Center is expected to accelerate regional development, increase the competitiveness of the industrial sector in the region and create new employment opportunities, thus making significant contributions to the regional economy.

Governor Yavuz Expresses Gratitude and Emphasizes the Importance of the Project

Following the meeting, Karabük Governor Mustafa Yavuz made statements and drew attention to the great importance of the project for the future of Karabük. Governor Yavuz said, “The Karabük Logistics Center Project is of great importance for the future of our city. With this project, the logistics infrastructure of Karabük and the region will be strengthened; our investment and production capacity will increase, and our city will gain a more strategic position in the regional development process.” He also thanked Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Karabük MPs and everyone who contributed to the implementation of the project for their support. Governor Yavuz expressed his wish that the project would be beneficial for Karabük and the region.

The acceptance of the Karabük Logistics Center Project by the Logistics Coordination Board is considered an important step towards the implementation of the project. It is expected that the details of the project will be clarified and the implementation work will begin in the coming period.
