The “Bicycle Markets” event, initiated by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality to promote healthy living and popularize bicycle use, brought together bicycle enthusiasts for the third time. The event ended at Kültürpark with a pleasant ride that started simultaneously from Bostanlı Yasemin Cafe and İnciraltı Sports Facilities on two separate routes.
Enjoyable Driving and Fun Meeting
After completing their free registrations at the stands set up by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Services Department, the cyclists prepared for the tour by doing warm-up exercises with the help of trainers. The pedals were turned in the beautiful weather of Izmir and the participants met at the Kültürpark Wooden Stage.
Sports and Picnic Together
After the tour, various events were organized at Kültürpark. Participants played volleyball and badminton, participated in a tug-of-war competition, and had a great time with fun activities such as scoring a goal in a miniature goal and slow cycling. At the end of the event, a picnic was held with refreshments prepared in cooperation with Redbull and Kebapçı Murat. Bicycle component manufacturer Shimano also supported the participants by performing general checks on the bicycles at the stand it set up in the area.
Discover Izmir with a Different Route Every Month
The “Bicycle Markets” event, which will be held every Sunday throughout 2025, will offer the opportunity to discover the natural beauties of Izmir with different routes. Izmir residents will meet at designated starting points, pedal, and experience different corners of the city with their bikes, and will complete the event with a pleasant picnic at the end of each tour.
