One of the railway investments of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, which is of great importance for the region, Delice-Sungurlu-Çorum high standard railway project, has reached another important stage. With the opening of the project management office for the Sungurlu stage of the project, work in the region has officially begun. Tender Process Completed, Work Starts Rapidly
The tender for which was held by the General Directorate of State Railways of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Delice-Sungurlu-Çorum high standard railway construction works project management office has been put into service in Sungurlu district. The construction work of the project, the tender of which was completed on December 31, 2024, started with the first excavation in Delice district of Kırıkkale last February. In the Sungurlu stage of the project, Yapı Merkezi İnşaat – YSE Yapı Konsortium, the contractor company, made a rapid start to the work and opened the project management office after erecting an information sign on the railway route that will pass through the district.

The management office, which will serve as the coordination center of the project, is located on Terminal Street in Akçay Neighborhood of Sungurlu. It was stated that the work in all stages of the project will be carried out meticulously in this office. The project includes 7 tunnels, 3 cut-and-cover tunnels, 26 bridges-viaducts, 12 overpasses, 72 underpasses and 185 culverts It is planned to be built. When the project is completed, important transportation points such as Delice station, Sungurlu OSB station, Sungurlu station, Alacahöyük station, Çorum OSB freight station and Çorum passenger station will be connected to each other by a high-standard railway.
