The number of parking lots integrated with public transportation such as buses and rail systems has been increased from 10 to 15. Istanbulites who leave their vehicles in PD parking lots receive a 50 percent discount on parking fees by continuing their journeys by metro, tram, metrobus or bus using IstanbulKart.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) continues to produce projects that will ease traffic. The number of Park and Ride (PD) parking lots implemented by the IMM Transportation Department with the IMM Urbanization Group Subsidiary İSPARK and the Technology Group Subsidiary BELBİM continues to increase.
The number of Park and Ride Car Parks, which were put into service to reduce private vehicle traffic and encourage the use of public transport, was increased from 10 to 15. The vehicle capacity in PD Car Parks reached 10.
