The HDI Sigorta Women's and Men's Turkish Cup Final Eight competitions organized by the Turkish Handball Federation will be hosted by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality between April 30 and May 3.
In the Turkish Cup, where a total of 9 teams from 16 cities will compete, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club will compete for the championship with both women's and men's handball teams. Sports fans will be able to watch all the matches to be played at Celal Atik Sports Hall and Buca Serdar Yereli Sports Hall free of charge. The semi-final matches of the exciting cup marathon that will start on Wednesday, April 30 will be played on Thursday, May 1, and the final matches on Saturday, May 3. Celal Atik Sports Hall in Kültürpark will host all the semi-final and final matches. In the final matches to be held on Saturday, May 3, the Turkish Cup will find its owner in both categories.

Speaking about the organization, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club President Ertuğrul Tugay drew attention to the importance of the city hosting such tournaments and said, “We continue to work towards the goal of our Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay to transform Izmir into a sports capital. We are expecting all sports fans living in our city to this enjoyable championship where the Turkish Cup will find its owner. I wish success to all our teams.”
