
The environmentally friendly and modern transportation project “Tazı”, implemented under the leadership of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, was presented to the service of Ordu residents with a ceremony. The “Tazı” fleet, consisting of electric bicycles and scooters, will bring a new breath to Ordu’s transportation with the goal of zero carbon emission.
“Greyhound” Launch Ceremony Held with Enthusiasm
Ordu Governor Muammer Erol, Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler, Yapı Drom Technology company officials, the owner of the Tazı application, protocol members and many citizens attended the introduction ceremony held in Tayfun Gürsoy Park. The importance of environmentally friendly transportation vehicles for Ordu was emphasized at the ceremony.
President Guler: “We Prioritize Transportation Systems That Protect the Environment”
Speaking at the ceremony, Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler expressed their happiness in bringing a new environmentally friendly transportation alternative to Ordu. Güler said, “On this beautiful day, we are bringing a new work to Ordu. With these works we have done, Ordu will have a new comparative advantage. Because we have a bicycle track from Ünye to Gülyalı. Such a beautiful place is granted to us by God. We are focusing on cycling from now on. It will be a beautiful work that will not cause air pollution with zero emissions. It can reach a speed of 25 km per hour. Let's watch the beauties of Ordu by using it carefully. It can reach a range of 55 km. We will have done sports in a healthy way. Hopefully, we will do more beautiful works in 19 neighborhoods in our 772 districts.” Mayor Güler emphasized the project's mission of protecting the environment and encouraging healthy living.
General Manager Özdil: “President Güler’s Vision Will Set an Example for Türkiye”
The owner of the Tazı application, Yapı Drom Technology General Manager Eser Özdil, expressed the honor they felt in putting the most advanced technology electric scooters and bicycles into service in Ordu. Özdil said, “Thanks to the visionary leadership of our Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler, we are very honored to put electric scooters and bicycles, which are among the most advanced technologies in the world, into service in Ordu today. We also know the vision of our Minister very well from the period when he was the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources. The bicycles and scooters we put into service today are the last of their kind. They are devices produced with Turkish production capacity and passed through the hands of Turkish engineers. This project we have implemented in Ordu will set an example for the rest of Türkiye and other municipalities will follow Ordu's vision and become widespread in Türkiye. I would like to thank Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler once again for being our pioneer.” Özdil stated that the project was implemented with domestic production and engineering power and will be an inspiration to other municipalities.
Protocol Members Tested “Hound”
Following the speeches, the “Tazı” application officially began service in Ordu with a ribbon cutting. After the opening, Governor Muammer Erol and President Güler received detailed information from company officials about electric scooters and bicycles. Protocol members and citizens who attended the ceremony also had the opportunity to use the electric bicycles and scooters after the opening.
Easy and Environmentally Friendly Transportation with “Tazı”
The “Tazı” application, which has started operating in Ordu, can initially be used in the districts of Altınordu, Fatsa, Ünye and Perşembe. Designed for both transportation and entertainment purposes, electric bicycles and scooters can be used comfortably even on slopes with a slope of up to 16 percent. These environmentally friendly vehicles, which can reach a maximum speed of 25 km, can travel up to 55 km on a single charge, thus offering users a transportation alternative that is both practical and environmentally friendly.
