Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce announced that the Dorlion branded drinking olive oils are now being offered for sale by the municipality in 5-liter cans for use in cooking. The 5-liter olive oils offered for sale in the Metropolitan Municipality's Producer Markets will be offered to consumers for 650 TL.
Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality continues its project to increase olive cultivation in the Central Sakarya Valley, to obtain natural olive oil with early harvest cold pressing, and to have the minor components of this olive oil analyzed in authorized laboratories to determine the values the region adds to olives and olive oil.
After the drinking olive oil that was previously sold in 100 ml and 250 ml bottles in Producer Markets, where it was put up for sale under the brand name Dorlion, the first settlement of Eskişehir and the oldest name in history, now the sale of 5 liter cooking olive oil has started. 5 liter olive oil will meet the consumer for 650 TL in Producer Markets.
Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce, who stated that the olive oils produced from olives grown in the fertile soil of the Orta Sakarya Valley are offered for sale in 5-liter cans, said, “As you know, we have made significant progress in this project, which we set out to increase olive cultivation in the Orta Sakarya Valley, obtain natural olive oil with early harvest and cold pressing methods, and certify the quality of these products with scientific analyses. In this process, we crowned the labor of our producers by branding not only olive production but also olive oil, which is a high-added value product. In this direction, we determined the name Dorlion, which is the first settlement of our city and has hosted many civilizations throughout history, as our brand. Dorlion Olive Oil, which first took its place on Producer Market shelves as drinking olive oil in 100 ml and 250 ml bottles, has reached a whole new dimension today thanks to the intense interest it has received. Our 5-liter cooking olive oil, which you will now have on your tables, is also on sale. This is not just a product, it is a result of Eskişehir’s agricultural potential, our producers’ labor and our sustainable agricultural policies. This project has shown how much value we can add to both our city’s climate and soil. We will continue to support olive cultivation in the upcoming period. I would like to thank all my colleagues, producers and all my fellow citizens who believed in and supported us in this process. Let’s grow local production, naturalness and quality on our tables together.”
