Critical Developments in the Health Condition of Sırrı Süreyya Önder

Florence Nightingale Hospitals Rector Prof. Dr. Çavlan Çiftçi shared the latest information on the health status of TBMM Deputy Speaker and DEM Party MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder. He stated that Önder is in intensive care on his sixth day and his life risk is still high.

Surgical Interventions and Heart Condition

Prof. Dr. Çiftçi provided information about the surgical interventions performed on Önder. He said that no bleeding or infection was detected in the surgical area during the thoracic opening procedure performed on Saturday, and that the surgical areas were clean. He also stated that the right heart had started to contract, which was a positive development. He stated that a second revision procedure was performed yesterday due to bleeding from surgical drains, and that the surgical areas were clean during this procedure, and that only slight bleeding was detected. He explained that Önder's hemodynamics were stable, his blood pressure was good, but that ECMO and inotrope support were continuing.

The Alarming Picture of Neurological Status

Prof. Dr. Çiftçi emphasized that Önder's neurological condition worries them. He stated that Önder is still unconscious, his reflexes are not at the desired level and neurological evaluations are ongoing. He stated that the brain blood flow is good, but other neurological studies are ongoing. This situation increases concerns about Önder's health condition.
