Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) is preparing to celebrate April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day with an unforgettable feast for the children of the capital this year. The April 23 Children's Festival, which will be organized with the theme of "Happiness", will bring smiles to the faces of children with more than 20 events at approximately 200 different locations all around the city. The heart of the celebrations will be ATA Farm (BAKAP), Türkiye's largest agricultural campus.
Children's Holiday Celebration at ATA Farm
On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, ATA Farm will host the joy of children. Talented members of Altındağ, Aktepe, Sincan, Ahmetler and Batıpark Children's Clubs and Esertepe and Osmanlı Family Life Centers will perform colorful shows such as judo, taekwondo, folk dances, music, dance and gymnastics starting at 11.00:12.30. At 17.30:XNUMX, ABB City Orchestra will take the stage with special songs for children, taking the holiday excitement to the peak. The events will continue until XNUMX:XNUMX, and children will have a great time on this special day, where the Dutch Embassy will also present a special theater show.
In addition, children will be able to participate in fun workshops where they can express their creativity between 12.00:15.00 and XNUMX:XNUMX at the ATA Farm. They will discover their talents in various workshops such as canvas painting, recycling workshop, “Happiness Time Capsule and Letter to the Future” activity, ceramics, clay, mandala, hand printing, stone painting and marbling. They will also have fun with flower planting, face painting, puzzles, games and experiments.
Free Transportation to ATA Farm
ABB will be organizing free shuttle services to facilitate transportation to the festival area at ATA Farm on April 23. These shuttles will depart every hour between 10.00:20.00 and XNUMX:XNUMX from the Kızılay Zafer Bazaar and Gençlik Park Ulus Metro exit, allowing citizens and their children to easily reach the festival.
The Wind of Art Will Blow in Youth Park
On April 24 and 25, the Gençlik Parkı Necip Fazıl Hall will host colorful shows between 13.15:17.00 p.m. and 26:12.00 p.m. Members of the Mamak and Altındağ Children's Clubs, Altındağ Youth Center, and Akyurt, Esertepe, Yahyalar, and Mutlu Aile Yaşam Merkezis will fascinate the audience with folk dances, gymnastics, animation, dance, music, and theater performances. In this festival, where the "Gümüş Pullu Balık" theater play of the Department of Culture and Social Affairs will also be staged, children will have fun and learn new things with workshops that will last for two days. ABB's April 23 celebrations will not be limited to just one day. From April 21 to April 27, Family Life Centers, Youth Centers, Children's Clubs and Children's Activity Centers all around the city will host colorful events and workshops. During this week, children will experience a holiday week full of various art events, fun workshops and different surprises.
Mobile Event Vehicle Will Visit Districts
ABB’s “Mobile Activity Vehicle” will also bring April 23rd festivities to children. The specially designed vehicle will meet with children between 20:21 and 22:24 at Güdül Square on April 25, at Şereflikoçhisar Municipality Culture Center park area on April 11.00, at Keçiören Kalaba City Square on April 16.00, at Elmadağ İsmet Paşa Park on April 23, and at Gölbaşı Atatürk Coastal Park on April 10.00.
