
The April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day celebrations of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, which lasted all week, had a magnificent finale with the Sovereign Children's Handball Festival, an enthusiastic event held on the lush grass field next to the Republic Square. On this special day, the little athletes enjoyed doing sports to their heart's content and had lots of fun, creating unforgettable memories.
Hosted by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized with the valuable cooperation of the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports and the Turkish Handball Federation, the Sovereign Children's Handball Festival brought together the lower age group handball teams of schools from all over Izmir. Throughout the festival, the exciting and competitive matches played by the girls and boys in their own age categories provided enjoyable moments for the audience. In addition to the matches, the children and the families who attended the event also had a great time in the specially established experience and entertainment areas.
The Enthusiasm of Little Handball Players Was Crowned with Awards
Following the exciting matches that lasted all day long on the meticulously prepared grass field right next to the Republic Square, all the little athletes who participated in the festival were honored with cups and medals. The happiness of the athletes could be seen in their eyes at this meaningful award ceremony. Youth and Sports Izmir Provincial Director Murat Eskici, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Services Department Head Anıl Kaçar, Turkish Handball Federation General Coordinator Serdar Eler, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club President Ertuğrul Tugay and Turkish Handball Federation Izmir Provincial Representative Mutlu Altuğ, who were present at the ceremony to present the awards to the little handball players, shared the children's holiday enthusiasm and celebrated their success. With this meaningful event, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality ensured that the children were involved in sports in a manner befitting the spirit of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day and also gave them an unforgettable holiday gift.
