Antalya Airport Capacity Increases to 82 Million

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will inaugurate the Antalya Airport New Terminal Buildings on April 12. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said, “We are increasing the current 90 square meter international terminal to 143 square meters and the 224 square meter domestic terminal to 36 square meters. Thus, we are increasing the annual passenger capacity of our airport to 859 million.”

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the opening of Antalya Airport New Terminal Buildings will be held on April 12, 2025 with the attendance of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Providing information about the expansion works carried out at Antalya Airport, Minister Uraloğlu said, “The aircraft parking positions, which were 108, were increased to 176 with new apron areas. The existing VIP Terminal was expanded from 690 square meters to 2 thousand square meters, and the General Aviation Terminal was expanded from 200 square meters to 2 square meters. In addition, the newly constructed 800 square meter State Guest House, 2 square meter DHMI Service Building and lodgings were opened.”

Passenger Capacity Increases to 82 Million

Minister Uraloğlu, stating that they have come to the end of the terminal expansion works, said, “We are increasing the current 90 thousand 143 square meter international terminal to 224 thousand square meters and the 36 thousand 859 square meter domestic terminal to 75 thousand square meters. Thus, we are increasing the annual passenger capacity of our airport from 35 million to 82 million.”

Stating that the construction works did not affect transportation and tourism activities in the region, Uraloğlu said, “Our airport continues to provide uninterrupted service by taking all construction measures specified in national and international legislation. As of the end of 2024, we have served 45 aircraft and 351 passengers on domestic lines; 6 aircraft and 242 passengers on international lines. We reached a total of 379 aircraft and 188 passengers.”
