TV actress Sevil Akdağ (32) was arrested by the court to which she was referred after stabbing her friend Elif Kırav to death during an argument in her house in Fatih.
After completing her procedures at the police station, suspect Sevil Akdağ was brought to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan after undergoing a health check. Akdağ gave her statement to the public prosecutor's office here and was referred to the criminal judge of peace on duty with a request for arrest. The judgeship ruled for Sevil Akdağ's arrest as a result of the evaluation.
The incident occurred yesterday (Saturday, April 19, 2025) in Fatih. An argument between actress Sevil Akdağ and her friend Elif Kırav quickly turned into a fight. According to the allegations, Sevil Akdağ stabbed her friend Elif Kırav and then left the scene. Police and medical teams arrived at the scene after neighbors reported the noise and determined that Elif Kırav had lost her life.
Police teams reviewed security cameras in the area and captured and detained suspect Sevil Akdağ in Esenyurt. In the examinations conducted at the scene, numerous stab wounds were detected on various parts of Elif Kırav's body and signs of a struggle in the house. The body of Elif Kırav, who was stabbed to death, was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy.
