
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality is establishing a modern “Product Processing Facility” in the Yazır Neighborhood of Çubuk district in order to support local producers and increase the agricultural power of the city.
The 18-building facility, rising on a total area of 4 thousand square meters, will enable agricultural products purchased from local producers to be processed and offered to the public.
Investments supporting agricultural production in Ankara continue unabated. Ankara Metropolitan Municipality is implementing another important project that will contribute to the economic strengthening of farmers and the sustainability of local production. The Product Processing Facility to be established in Yazır Neighborhood of Çubuk district will ensure that agricultural products are processed and shipping processes become more efficient.
4 THOUSAND SQUARE METERS OF CONSTRUCTION AREA
Within the scope of the project, a 3 square meter product processing facility, a 300 square meter administrative building, a 330 square meter selector facility and a security cabin are being built. The facilities will be equipped with modern technologies and will provide high efficiency in the processing of agricultural products. The administrative building will be used to manage and organize the facility more effectively. The selector facility will serve for quality control and classification of products.
WORK CONTINUES AT FULL SPEED
Providing information about the project, which is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of the agricultural sector in Ankara, Alptekin Demirci, Project Controller of the Directorate of Studies and Projects, said:
“Our work at the Yazır Neighborhood Product Processing Facility in Çubuk district of Ankara continues at full speed. Our facility aims to receive, store and process agricultural products produced in Ankara. There are two sections in our product processing facility; product delivery area and product storage area. There are 12 cold storages in our storage area and separate storage areas for different products. In our selector building, products such as barley and wheat produced in Ankara will be classified and separated according to their sizes.”
