
Erciyes Ski Resort hosted the SNX Turkey stage of the World Snowmobile Championship. Hosted by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and broadcast live in 86 countries, the sound of snowmobiles rising from Türkiye was heard all over the world, especially in Sweden, USA, Finland, Italy, France, Norway and Slovakia.
Kayseri has once again made its name known to the world in the world of sports. Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, which has the title of Europe's Best Sports City with its investments and services in the field of sports, has attracted attention this time with the World Snowmobile Championship SNX Turkey stage held at Erciyes Ski Resort. The Golden Flag-winning city has once again proven its sports and athlete-friendly approach.
The championship, which is considered one of the most prestigious extreme sports organizations by the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM), was organized with great support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Turkish Motorcycle Federation, Spor Toto, the Kayseri Governorship, the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and Erciyes Inc. 29 snowmobile athletes from Türkiye, Sweden, the USA, Finland, Italy, France, Norway and Slovakia participated in the competitions. The organization, in which 20 male and 9 female athletes competed, created excitement worldwide.
Champions Announced in SNX Türkiye Stage
In the women's category, Saga Forsel from Finland came in first, Wilma Jonsson from Sweden came in second, and Tilde Karalius, also from Sweden, came in third. In the men's category, Aki Pihlaja from Finland took the championship podium, Elias Ishoel from Norway came in second, and Mille Andersson from Sweden came in third. The awards were presented to the athletes who won by Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, and AK Party Kayseri Deputy Murat Cahid Cıngı.
The athletes came together at the press conference after the race, answered questions and evaluated the organization. The racers stated that the organization was complete and that they were hosted very well, and thanked everyone who contributed, especially the Metropolitan Municipality Erciyes Inc.
Breathtaking Fights on Erciyes Were Brought to the World
This year, the championship was broadcast live to 86 countries, once again showing Türkiye's importance in this international event. Broadcast on channels such as TRT Spor, D-Smart Spor and Sportstv, the competition brought the breathtaking fights on Erciyes to the entire world.
Galip Alp Baysan, the first Turkish snowmobiler to compete abroad representing Türkiye in recent weeks, made a significant contribution to Türkiye's rise in extreme sports by taking part in this major organization.
This prestigious championship hosted by Erciyes Ski Center once again demonstrated Kayseri's strength in sports and how it has become a brand in the international arena.
