Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues its investments to make sea transportation more efficient. The Sea Transportation Department, which provides uninterrupted services to 7 piers, namely İzmit, Gölcük, Değirmendere, Tütünçiftlik, Derince, Hereke and Karamürsel, is increasing the number of services to 96. Strengthening sea transportation, the Metropolitan Municipality added another passenger boat to its fleet with the Yarımca Pier to be put into service on Saturday, March 15 (today).
NEW PASSENGER ENGINE FOR THE FLEET
The Marine Transportation Department added 1 more passenger boat to the fleet in order to provide services to all districts neighboring the Gulf of Izmit and to increase the number of current services. Thus, the number of passenger boats in the Gulf of Izmit was increased to 6. With the new passenger boat, the total number of daily services, which was 88, reached 96. The first services in sea transportation start at 06.50:07.15 from Hereke, 07.25:07.15 from Değirmendere, 21.00:23.00 from Değirmendere and XNUMX:XNUMX from Gölcük. The winter season ends at XNUMX:XNUMX in the evening and the summer season ends at XNUMX:XNUMX.
