Historical Eskipazar Mosque in Ordu Ready for Opening

Ordu Metropolitan Municipality will hold the official opening of the Eskipazar (Bayrambey) Mosque, which was restored with the support of the Ordu Governorship Investment Monitoring and Coordination Department (YİKOB).

The restoration of the 600-year-old mosque, which was completed in recent months and made ready for worship, has also been completed with landscaping and landscaping work. Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler said, “The restoration work of our ancestral mosque in the Altınordu Eskipazar Neighborhood had been completed before. However, there were minor details. That is why we did not hold the official opening, but worship was held inside the mosque. God willing, we will hold the opening of this historic mosque on Friday, March 14. May it bring good luck to our city and district in advance.”

AUTHENTIC RESTORED

Eskipazar Mosque, which was the first settlement of Altınordu district and was built between 1380-1390 during the Hacıemiroğulları Principality period, was made ready for worship with the restoration and landscaping works.

As part of the restoration project, the teams carried out detailed work on the harim, gallery, mosque facade, roof, minaret, fountain, toilet and landscaping, carrying the historical mosque into the future.
