The Carles & Sofia Piano Duo four-hands piano recital organized by Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality within the scope of “Jazz and Chamber Music Days” was highly appreciated.
The duo consisting of valuable Girona-born pianists Sofia Cabruja and Carles Lama delighted everyone with their performances and the pieces they chose for the concert.
The concert featured works by important composers such as G. Rossini and G. Puccini. In addition to these works, some classic film music familiar to art lovers was also included. Artists who presented music from films such as Interstellar, Cinema Paradiso, and The Mission to art lovers with four-hand piano arrangements provided unforgettable moments for the audience. The information provided by valuable violinist and EBB Symphony Orchestra board member Cihat Aşkın about the works and musicians was followed with interest by art lovers.
At the end of the concert, the piano duo Sofia & Carles did not disappoint the art lovers and performed an encore with the valuable composer E. Lecuona's piece Malaguena. The valuable artists, who were applauded for a long time, performed their second encore with a traditional Catalan piece. Pianist Sofia Cabruja stated that she learned this song from her grandfather when she was a child and that it had a special meaning for her.
