By the decision of the Istanbul Governorship, the Taksim station of the M2 Yenikapı – Hacıosman Metro Line, some stops of Metro Istanbul and many streets and avenues were closed to traffic.

The governor's office announced that it banned all kinds of meetings, demonstrations and press releases throughout the city for four days between March 19 and 23 in order to "preserve public order and prevent possible provocative actions."

Within the scope of the measures taken, the Emniyet-Fatih Station on the M19A Yenikapı – Atatürk Airport and M1B Yenikapı-Kirazlı lines operated by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Metro A.Ş. and the Taksim Station on the M1 Yenikapı-Seyrantepe-Hacıosman line will be out of service, including all entrances and exits, for the duration of the ban that will start on March 2.

“In order to maintain public order throughout the province and to prevent any provocative actions that may occur, all kinds of meetings, demonstrations and press releases have been banned for 19 days between March 23 and 4 by our Governorship.

Various precautionary measures will be implemented in line with this decision taken within the framework of Article 5442/C of the Provincial Administration Law No. 11 and Article 2559/H of the Police Duty and Authority Law No. 15. Within the scope of these decisions;

– As of 19:2025 on March 06.00, 1; The Emniyet-Fatih Station of the M1A Yenikapı-Ataturk Airport and MXNUMXB Yenikapı-Kirazlı metro lines operated by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Metro A.Ş. will be cancelled and closed to service (including all passenger entry and exit points),

– It has been decided to cancel the Taksim Station of the M2 Yenikapı-Seyrantepe-Hacıosman metro line and close it to service (including all entry and exit points).

On the other hand, it has been decided that the following streets and avenues will be closed to vehicle traffic and that the designated alternative routes will be used.
