Smiling face: We Aim to Increase Our Exports in Europe and South America
STM General Manager Özgür Güleryüz stated that Türkiye has become an international player under the leadership of the Presidency of Defense Industries, and noted the following:
“With our national platforms and engineering capabilities that we have developed for our army, we are undertaking exports that will improve the defense capacities of friendly-brotherly countries and strengthen our country’s economy. As Türkiye’s engineering power at sea, we are the reliable partner of world navies. Following the warship projects we have carried out for Pakistan and Ukraine, we have started to build 3 corvettes for the Malaysian Navy. With the Fleet Replenishment and Logistics Support Ships that we will build for the Portuguese Navy, we have realized Türkiye’s first military ship export to an EU and NATO member country. On the other hand, we have added our field-proven tactical mini UAV systems to the inventories of more than 3 countries on 10 different continents. We continue our presence in NATO with our command control and software technologies. We are attracting attention from Asia Pacific to Europe, from Africa to the Gulf Region with our flexible engineering solutions that we offer at NATO standards. We also aim to increase our exports and collaborations in Europe and South America with the LAAD and UDT fairs.”
