ROADS AND PEDESTRIAN SIDEWAYS ARE BEING RENEWED IN THE GULF
The Road Maintenance Team and Team A teams affiliated with the Road and Maintenance Department of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality are rapidly evaluating the complaints and demands sent by the muhtars via the “Muhtar Active System” and conveyed by the citizens via the 153 Call Center, and are carrying out solution-oriented work. In this context, the pavement and asphalt renewal works on Hürriyet Street in Yeniyalı Neighborhood of Körfez district have been completed. With the new arrangements, sidewalks and smooth asphalt roads where pedestrians can walk more safely have been built. In this way, transportation for the people of the region has been made more convenient and comfortable.
THE ENTRANCE TO THE EASTERN BARRACKS MARKET HAS BEEN MADE SECURE
The screws at the entrance of the Eastern Barracks Market in Izmit district, which posed a safety hazard, were cut by the teams to prevent possible accidents. Citizens were provided with a safer environment while shopping in the busy market area.
STOP POCKET STUDY IN YASSIBAĞ
In Izmit Yassıbağ Neighborhood, a new bus stop pocket was built and put into service for passengers. With this arrangement, passengers were able to get on and off more regularly and safely. While the flow in traffic was eased, public transportation usage became more efficient. The Metropolitan Municipality will continue such works carried out in the field to ensure safe and comfortable transportation for citizens.
