Same Day Delivery Project First Started in Bursa

Uraloğlu said, “Within the scope of the Same Day Delivery Project, which we launched as a pilot in Bursa, we delivered approximately 4 thousand shipments to their recipients on the same day they were accepted.”

Uraloğlu stated that the application will be put into operation in Ankara in the second phase of the project and that after the pilot application, the service will also be offered in big cities such as Istanbul and Izmir.

Shipments Are Being Delivered At A Speed Of 10 Pieces Per Hour

Minister Uraloğlu also provided information about the Cargo Separation System (KAS), which PTT implemented to manage cargo processes faster and more accurately, and said, "With the KAS devices, which have the capacity to process at least 10 thousand shipments per hour, the separation time of shipments is shortened and shipping errors are minimized."

Uraloğlu, who stated that the KAS devices currently in use are installed in the Istanbul Anatolian, Istanbul European, Adana and Bursa headquarters, said, “Thanks to these devices, we quickly processed 21,6 million shipments in Istanbul Anatolian, 21 million in Istanbul European, 16,7 million in Adana and 6,9 million in Bursa. We plan to install KAS devices in Ankara, Sakarya and Izmir in the near future.”

On-Site Distribution Model to be First Put into Service in Şanlıurfa

Uraloğlu stated that cargo services will be provided faster with the implementation of the On-Site Distribution model, and that with this model, the aim is to deliver shipments sent to a province other than the acceptance province on the same day they reach the destination province.

Minister Uraloğlu said, “We will first put the On-Site Distribution application into operation at Şanlıurfa PTT General Directorate. We are continuing our technical and operational studies. Following the application in Şanlıurfa, we plan to implement the same system in major cities.”
