No Additional Journeys or Wagons Were Added to the Island Express During the Holiday

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that he has taken some important measures to meet the increasing train travel demand due to the Ramadan holiday. In this context, 6 new trips are being added to the High Speed ​​Train (YHT) services operating between Istanbul and Ankara. These additional trips aim to provide a total of 28 additional seat capacity on March 29, 1 and April 2. The trains will depart from Ankara at 466:09 and from Istanbul-Söğütlüçeşme at 40:18.

Wagon Additions and Capacity Increase

Minister Uraloğlu also stated that capacity will be increased in some mainline and regional trains. Between March 27 and April 1, a total of 172 wagons will be added to lines such as the Izmir Blue Express, Eastern Express, Southern/Vang Lake Express, and Konya Blue Express, increasing the seat capacity to 10.

No Additional Trips or Wagons Added to the Island Express

However, no additional trips or additional wagons were added to the Ada Express operating between Adapazarı and Gebze. As of December 15, 2024, the Ada Express had been increased to 6 trips in both directions.

Total Capacity Increase: 12

With all these additions, a total of 12 people will be provided with additional capacity during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
