Konya Metropolitan Municipality is renewing the Meram Yeniyol Underpass within the scope of the KONYARAY Commuter Line Project, which it carries out together with the General Directorate of State Railways (TCDD).
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that within the scope of the works, the old bridge will be demolished and a new bridge will be built in its place.
Emphasizing that they are working intensively to ease traffic in the center of Konya, Mayor Altay said, “We continue our work uninterruptedly so that Konya has a more modern and effective transportation network. Within the scope of our KONYARAY Suburban Line project, we are renewing the Meram Yeniyol Underpass. We will demolish the existing bridge and build a new bridge in its place. As part of the work, we will open the area that we closed to vehicle traffic yesterday to traffic in a controlled manner on Monday morning.”
