One of the most famous avenues in the world, the Champs-Élysées, attracted attention this time with a giant Istanbul image symbolizing Türkiye's cultural heritage.
The exterior of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Paris Culture and Promotion Consultancy Service Building was covered with an Istanbul-themed poster covering an area of 300 square meters.
The project was carried out with special permission, despite the strict advertising bans of the Paris Municipality. An agreement was first reached with the apartment management to apply the Istanbul image to the building. Then, official permission was obtained on March 12th as a result of the meetings with the Mayor of the Champs-Élysées, Jeanne d'Hauteserre, and the Paris Municipality officials.
With the approval of the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, the application was completed on March 27. The printing and assembly process was carried out by the world-famous outdoor advertising company JC Decaux.
Minister Ersoy said the following on the subject: “Our Paris Culture and Promotion Office building located on the world-famous Champs-Élysées was covered with 300 m² of Istanbul visuals. Despite strict advertising rules, with special permission, we brought our cultural heritage to one of the most iconic streets in the world. We will be in Paris until June!”
