IMM Mobile Buffet will serve refreshments in mosques and cemeteries. IMM Police will be on duty 7/24 to ensure that Istanbulites have a peaceful and healthy holiday.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) has completed its preparations for a comfortable and safe 28-day Ramadan holiday that will start on Friday evening, March 9. During the Ramadan holiday, which covers March 30-31 and April 1, public transportation vehicles affiliated with IMM will be free of charge for personalized Istanbulkart holders. IETT has made all necessary preparations to organize additional buses and metrobuses during the holiday period. Similarly, City Lines will plan additional trips if needed.
FLIGHTS WILL BE MADE ACCORDING TO SATURDAY SCHEDULE
Metro Istanbul will operate according to the Saturday schedule throughout the holiday. Services will be provided between 06.00:00.00 and 2.219:185. During the holiday, more than XNUMX business, security and cleaning staff will be on duty daily on the lines, and XNUMX technical personnel will be on duty daily to respond to possible malfunctions.
BUSFORUS, which combines two continents in one journey, will continue to operate every hour between 10.00 in the morning and 17.00 in the evening during the holiday.
Istanbulites will be able to use the free and secure IBB Wi-Fi service, which can be accessed at any point via the Istanbul Seni application, unlimitedly during Ramadan Feast and beyond. CLEANING IN MOSQUES AND CEMETERIES
In addition to routine cleaning activities throughout Istanbul, IMM will carry out washing and cleaning activities in the courtyards and surroundings of mosques and some large mosques for the Ramadan Feast. Cleaning activities will continue in cemeteries with mechanical washing and sweeping. In addition, on the eve, 1st, 2nd and 3rd day of Ramadan Feast, city cleaning teams will continue cleaning activities 7/24 in squares, main arteries, underpasses and overpasses that are their areas of responsibility.
PREPARATION OF TREATS WITH MOBILE BUFFETS
The IMM Directorate of Operations will serve soup, tea, cake, juice, water and sandwiches after morning prayers around the Sultanahmet Mosque, Eyüp Sultan Mosque and Ayasofya-i Kebir Mosque with 3 mobile kiosks and 6 personnel. At the same time, soup, tea, cake, juice, water and sandwiches will be served daily at the Edirnekapı Martyrs' Memorial with 1 mobile kiosk and 2 personnel. Mobile kiosk service will be provided throughout the holiday in Saraçhane with 2 mobile kiosks and 4 personnel.
IMM Teams have completed maintenance and cleaning work in cemeteries for the holiday visits. In addition, Turkish delight will be served to visitors throughout the holiday, starting from the day of Eid.
In addition, IMM also provides washing and cleaning services around cemeteries and mosques. Washing and sweeping activities began to be carried out around 30 cemeteries and 40 mosques on the Asian side, and around 50 cemeteries and 45 mosques on the European side.
HOLIDAY EVENT AT DARÜLACEZE
Istanbul Darülaceze Branch Directorate will organize two separate holiday programs within the scope of Ramadan Holiday. The first will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 14.30:30 with employees at Kayışdağı Campus. The second program will be held on the first day of the holiday, March 2025, 14.30 at XNUMX:XNUMX with the participation of Darülaceze residents and employees at Kartal Elderly Care Center dining hall. HOME CARE SERVICES WILL CONTINUE
IMM Home Health Services will continue uninterruptedly during the Ramadan Feast. During the holiday, including the day of Eid, Home Health Services will be provided for patients who are unable to provide their own care with serums, injections and their own means, depending on their needs. During the day of Eid and the month of Eid, a total of 5 healthcare teams, 10 personnel and five vehicles will be actively on duty in the field on the European and Anatolian Sides of Home Health Services.
HOLIDAY WILL BE FESTIVE WITH TULIPS
Tulips planted all around Istanbul by the IMM Parks, Gardens and Green Areas Department have begun to bloom. Istanbulites will be able to witness this visual feast at 5 locations in Istanbul during the holiday; Emirgan Grove, Gülhane Grove, Hidiv Grove, Sultanahmet Square and Göztepe 60. Yıl Park.
