IMM has opened a recruitment announcement for 1.780 permanent staff for itself and its long-established institutions IETT and ISKI. Approximately 1.780 people applied for the recruitment of 70.000 people. IMM has set up 'glass rooms' in the main campus in Saraçhane for interviews of potential civil servant candidates. TBB and IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu, visited the room where audio-recorded interviews were conducted in a transparent manner.
“APPROXIMATELY 1780 PEOPLE APPLIED TO THE APPLICATION FOR 70.000 RECRUITMENTS”
“Currently, 1780 employees will be hired for the positions of IMM, IETT and ISKI within the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. This employee permit is of course the positions granted by the central administration, with permission from the ministry. We have very valuable positions among them; such as fire departments and police. We have to enrich these positions. We have technical recruitments with different statuses. Approximately 1780 people applied for the 70.000 applications we will make. This is actually an indication of how difficult our country and our job seekers are today. We are meticulous about creating an environment where not a single person’s rights and laws are violated here. According to the scores they received in the KPSS exam, our colleagues have to call a person close to 5 times more and they make their calls that way. Either people would be sent here with direct appointments from the center or we would organize this preference environment here, again in such a transparent environment, where not a single person’s rights are violated, from among those 5 thousand people, because we saw that it was more suitable for Istanbul. But they are not behind closed doors, as you can see, they are in a transparent environment, where our friend who took the oral exam here draws his own questions, and the panel in front of him carefully makes their choices and selections. Also, all the interviews are recorded by camera and audio.”
“A PROCESS WILL BE OPERATED WHERE PURCHASES ARE MADE IN A FAIR MANNER”
“We have brothers and sisters who applied here, coming from different parts of our country. From Eastern Anatolia, the Black Sea, Southeastern Anatolia, the Aegean, Central Anatolia, Marmara, everywhere… I told them too. A process will be implemented where none of their rights and laws are violated and purchases are made fairly. In fact, the issue of justice is very important. The issue of internal peace is very important. In other words, the issue of the nation being peaceful is very important. When we look at it today, we are going through such a painful period as a country. Even yesterday evening, in the attack on Palestine, hundreds of innocent people lost their lives. We are in a difficult geography. Of course, we condemn the continuation of this cruelty in all of Palestine. Türkiye has a great responsibility. In other words, a new world is being established in Syria and the meticulousness to establish an order where the border integrity of every nation, the Syrian people, is ensured on one hand, and the rights and laws of every living person there are protected on the other hand…”
