Danish Ambassador to Ankara Ole Toft and Consul General in Istanbul Thierry Hoppe visited Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay in his office. During the meeting, cooperation opportunities in energy efficiency and green transformation were discussed.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay hosted Danish Ambassador to Ankara Ole Toft and Danish Consul General in Istanbul Thierry Hoppe in his office. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Ramazan Tezcan was also present at the meeting where Denmark's experience in the field of green energy, Izmir's potential and pioneering steps in this regard, and cooperation opportunities were discussed.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay provided information about the general structure of Izmir and talked about the green transformation, infrastructure improvements and cleaning works in the Gulf carried out in the city. Danish Ambassador to Ankara Ole Toft stated that they gave great importance to green transformation after the oil crisis in the 1970s. Toft also said that Denmark has an advanced infrastructure in the field of maritime transportation and expressed that large port cities like Izmir are remarkable in terms of cooperation opportunities.
