Gemlik Sports Hall is Getting Ready for Opening

Gemlik Sports Hall, which was brought to life by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, is counting down the days until its opening. The facility, which has a total usage area of ​​1600 square meters, was designed for basketball, volleyball, handball and tennis sports.

The Metropolitan Municipality, which has implemented many projects to strengthen Bursa's sports city feature and to ensure that every young person is interested in at least one branch of sports and art, is adding a new one to its projects supporting sports and healthy living. The Metropolitan Municipality, which supports young people in every field, has brought a modern sports hall to Gençali Neighborhood in Gemlik district. The facility, which was built with a total budget of 40 million TL, consists of a single-story structure.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey said that they continue to produce projects that encourage sports and healthy living, and are worthy of Bursa, the city of sports. Stating that they support young people in sports as well as in every field, Mayor Mustafa Bozbey said, “We are facilitating children’s and young people’s access to sports by increasing sports facilities in every corner of Bursa. We will also open the sports hall we brought to Gemlik in the coming days. We want all our children and young people to be involved in at least one branch of sports and art. We will continue to popularize sports in every neighborhood, every school, every street.”

Yahya Burak Kocaman, Director of the Department of Technical Affairs, Construction Affairs Branch, said, “The total project area is 1.600 square meters. The sports hall includes a 1.500 square meter multipurpose sports hall where basketball, volleyball, handball and tennis can be played, a tribune with a capacity of 300 people, an open parking lot for 105 vehicles, dressing rooms for athletes, referees and coaches and an administrative section area. I hope our facility will be beneficial to Bursa and the people of Gemlik.”
