Farmer Card Starts in Alanya, Serik, Aksu and Kemer

Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Muhittin Böcek, is implementing the Environment Friendly Farmer Card Project, which is the first of its kind in Türkiye, in 4 more districts of Antalya in order to prevent agricultural pesticide packaging waste due to production in the capital of agriculture, Antalya. Muhittin Böcek, signed a protocol with the mayors in order to expand the project to the districts of Alanya, Kemer, Aksu and Serik.

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, which wants to prevent agricultural pesticide packaging waste, which is one of the most important environmental problems in the capital of agriculture, Antalya, has implemented the Environment-Friendly Farmer Card Project, which is the first in Türkiye, in 2022. The project, which started in Kumluca as a pilot district, was later implemented in Finike and Demre. 15 SMART VENDING MACHINES WILL BE PLACED

President Muhittin Böcek, signed a protocol with Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik, Serik Mayor Dr. Kadir Kumbul, Aksu Mayor İsa Yıldırım and Kemer Mayor Necati Topaloğlu for the project to be implemented in 4 districts.

The President said that the project, which was deemed worthy of an international award, is currently being implemented in 3 districts. Muhittin Böcek“4759 farmers are registered to our project. 13 tons of agricultural pesticide packaging waste was collected with 3,6 smart vending machines. The collected waste was recycled and contributed to the economy. We are implementing this protocol in 4 more districts. A total of 15 smart vending machines will be placed in Alanya, Serik, Aksu and Kemer. The current investment cost of the project is 11 million 323 thousand 200 TL,” he said.

WE WILL TAKE CARE OF OUR ENVIRONMENT

The President said that they will spread the project to 19 districts of Antalya with all stakeholders of the agricultural sector.
