
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that they have paved the way for special discounts to be applied to families on intercity bus trips within the scope of the 2025 Family Year declared under the auspices of the Presidency. Minister Uraloğlu stated that they made the arrangement with the approval of the Ministry and announced that the new arrangement could be implemented as of Monday, March 17.
“We Provided the Possibility of a Discount of Up to 40 Percent on the Fee Tariff”
Providing information about the regulation in question, Minister Uraloğlu said, “According to the Highway Transportation Regulation, bus companies that provide intercity ticketed passenger transportation can make discounts of up to 30 percent on the fare tariffs they notify our Ministry. With the new regulation, bus companies will be able to make discounts of up to 40 percent on family ticket prices. This regulation will not be a mandatory practice for companies.” Minister Uraloğlu made the following statements in his statement:
“With the new regulation, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 people who want to travel on the same bus and route with tickets will be able to benefit from the discount if they can prove that they are a family. In order to benefit from the discount, it will be sufficient for the passengers to have the same surname or to prove that they are a family with a document that complies with the relevant legislation.”
