
The facade rehabilitation project on Uzun Sokak, the liveliest street in Trabzon, is entering the implementation phase. Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç said, “With the project planned in accordance with the historical and architectural texture, the buildings will gain an aesthetic appearance.”
The preparation process of the Uzun Sokak Facade Rehabilitation Project conducted by the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Department of Technical Affairs has been completed. The buildings on Uzun Sokak, one of the most important trade and tourism centers of the city, will be renovated in accordance with the historical and architectural texture. Within the scope of the project, facade cleaning will be done in 8 of the 65 buildings, 6 of which are registered buildings, and paint application will be made on the insulation in 46 buildings. 6 registered buildings will be repainted, and paint will be applied on the existing aluminum composite coatings in 5 buildings. The 2 registered buildings will be preserved and no intervention will be made. While the Uzun Sokak main facade rehabilitation project has been completed within the scope of the first stage, the project work for the second stage covering the buildings between Tanjant Yolu and Uzun Sokak is ongoing.

With this project, Uzun Sokak will be renewed in accordance with its architectural structure. We will offer our fellow citizens and guests a more organized, more beautiful area.”
