Antalya Police Department carried out a large-scale inspection in order to prevent motorcycle thefts and crimes involving motorcycles throughout the city. The operation, coordinated by the Public Security Department, aimed to identify and capture suspicious individuals while inspecting businesses that sell motorcycle repairs and spare parts.
Implementation was carried out at 155 points with 31 personnel
Within the scope of the audit, implementation was carried out at 76 different points with the participation of 155 teams and a total of 31 personnel. As a result of the inquiries made:
- 1.542 people were questioned,
- 901 motorcycles and 327 vehicles were inspected,
- 43 workplaces were inspected.
As a result of these studies, individuals and vehicles associated with various crimes were identified and necessary legal procedures were implemented.
Wanted Persons and Stolen Vehicles Seized
During inspections:
- 4 wanted persons were caught,
- 4 stolen, seized or scratched cars and motorcycles were seized,
- 5 motorcycles banned from traffic,
- Administrative fines were imposed on 161 vehicles.
Also, about a person "Theft", if it is about a person “Possession of Narcotics” Legal action was taken for his crimes.
Determination Will Continue in the Fight Against Crime
Antalya Police Department stated that it will continue to fight crime and criminals with determination. It was emphasized that motorcycle inspections and crime-fighting efforts will continue uninterruptedly in order to ensure security in the city.
