Disco Fire in North Macedonia: At Least 50 Dead

At least 50 people died in a fire at a disco in the North Macedonian city of Kocani, the MIA news agency reported, citing the local Interior Ministry.

The fire at the Puls discotheque occurred around 03:00, probably due to the use of pyrotechnics during a concert by the Macedonian band DNK.

A total of 1.500 people reportedly attended the event, with dozens of victims hospitalized in different cities across the country.

Prime Minister Christian Mickoski and members of the government have arrived at the scene, while emergency services and local residents are helping the injured.
