Bayraktar KIZILELMA Successfully Passed the Maneuver Test

Türkiye's first unmanned combat aircraft Bayraktar KIZILELMA, developed nationally and originally by Baykar, successfully passed the EU Take-Off Maneuvering System Identification Test included in the test schedule.0

Bayraktar KIZILELMA, which was developed entirely with Baykar's own resources and will serve as Türkiye's first unmanned combat aircraft, continues its flight tests. The testing process of the national unmanned combat aircraft continues in accordance with the planned schedule.

HE PERFORMED SHARP MANOEUVRES

Bayraktar KIZILELMA successfully passed the EU Take-Off Maneuver System Identification Test held on March 21. Bayraktar KIZILELMA's production prototype PT3 with tail number TC-OZB3, which took off from the AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Çorlu district of Tekirdağ by activating the afterburner, successfully completed the system identification activities and sharp maneuvers carried out during the test flight.

WILL CARRY OUT THE MOST CHALLENGING TASKS

Within the scope of Bayraktar KIZILELMA’s development activities, significant changes were made to the production prototype thanks to the experiences gained from the first prototypes. In addition to structural improvements, improvements were made to the avionics architecture. The flight was performed with the afterburner engine alternative, the integration of which was successfully completed. Bayraktar KIZILELMA, which will approach the speed of sound with its powerful new engine, will be able to maneuver much better at high speeds thanks to aerodynamic improvements. It will be able to perform the most difficult tasks thanks to the high situational awareness it has gained with its AESA radar.

FLYING IN RECORD TIME

Bayraktar KIZILELMA project, which Baykar set out with 100% equity capital, started in 2021. Bayraktar KIZILELMA, with the tail number of TC-ÖZB, which came off the production line on November 14, 2022, was transferred to AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Çorlu. After successfully completing the ground tests here, it made its first flight on 14 December 2022. Bayraktar KIZILELMA met with the sky in a record time like a year.

BREAKING FIRST IN THE HISTORY OF AVIATION

Bayraktar KIZILELMA carried out flights that were the first in world aviation history during TEKNOFEST 2023. Bayraktar KIZILELMA, who performed formation flights with Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, performed a formation flight with the concept of a fleet in the skies of Istanbul with the Turkish Stars consisting of F-1 fighter jet SOLOTÜRK and F-2023 jet aircraft on May 16, 5. These flight concepts, which are a turning point in world aviation history, will also shape the air combat of the future.
