Amisos Cable Car Line, one of the important tourism spots of Samsun, started to provide service again as of March 24 after the comprehensive maintenance and modernization works carried out by SAMULAŞ A.Ş., a subsidiary of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality. The cable car line, which has been in service between Batıpark and Amisos Hill since 2006, is preferred with great interest by local and foreign tourists who want to see the panoramic view of the city.
Modernization Work Completed
The maintenance and modernization work carried out on the Amisos Cable Car Line includes a comprehensive renewal process in all technical systems. Improvements were made in every section from automation systems to cabins, ropes and panels. In addition, SAMULAŞ A.Ş. personnel were given training on working at height and passenger rescue. In this way, the line was provided with a safer and more comfortable service.

Amisos Cable Car Line stands out with its 320-meter line length and 62-meter height. 6 cabins, each with 6 people, offer passengers the opportunity to watch the city panoramically from above. The cable car, which has become one of Samsun's important tourism destinations, is especially preferred by visitors who want to see the city from a different perspective.

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Halit Doğan stated that Amisos Cable Car Line is one of the first places visited by local and foreign tourists coming to the city and said, “We have completed the maintenance, repair and renovation works that we have been carrying out meticulously to ensure that our Cable Car Line can be used more safely and comfortably. This important tourism facility has started to provide service again. I invite all our fellow citizens to travel with our renewed cable car where they can see the beauties of our city panoramically.”
