PRESIDENT ÖZÇELİK: “OUR PRIORITY IS THE SAFETY OF VISITORS”
Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik, who emphasized that the renovations made in Sapadere Canyon were completed but their priority was the safety of the visitors, said, “As it is known, the walking paths of Sapadere Canyon were seriously damaged by the effect of the rocks falling from above as a result of the storm and heavy rainfall at the end of December. We have completed the repairs of the walking paths. However, we had to think about the safety of not only the walking paths but also the tourists and people who visit here. For this reason, we are seeing and evaluating the preliminary studies and projects made by our friends in order to build the upper protection bands.”
“WE WILL RE-OPEN IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE”
Stating that the preliminary work done by his teammates was largely valid, President Özçelik said; “My teammates and I consulted on what we can do with the villagers to put this canyon into operation as soon as possible. We gave the necessary instructions to bring this place back to the people of Alanya and our tourism as soon as possible. Our work on this place has started as soon as tomorrow.”
