'One Man City' Play Staged in Eskişehir

Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality City Theatres held the first performance of the new play, “One Man City”, written by playwright Behiç Ak, at the Haller Youth Center Tepebaşı Stage.

Following the new plays that started to be staged at the beginning of the season, the City Theatres, which started their second round of projects as of January, brought the play “One-Man City” directed by Murat Danacı to its audience. The play stars İsmail Dündar, Yalçın Özen and Ayşen Aşkın Oruç from the City Theatres.

The music of the play, with costume design by Tülay Kale and lighting design by Ali Rıza Tekin, belongs to Uygar Çataltaş. The play, which humorously approaches how the communication age, contrary to the technological opportunities it provides to people, negatively affects social relations, and how people who focus only on themselves and their own needs distance themselves from the city they live in, nature and each other, was met with appreciation by the audience.

The play, which was watched with guests from out of town including Istanbul City Theatre actors Bennu Yıldırımlar, İrem Arslan and director Bilge Emin, ended with applause.
