A New Era Begins in Vocational and Technical Education

The Ministry of National Education has initiated information activities to introduce the new vision of vocational education and the opportunities it offers to students and parents within the scope of the Vocational and Technical Education Policy Document. Within the scope of the information activities initiated in line with the decision of the Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin regarding “vocational and technical education”, which he instructed to be focused on in the new academic year, students and parents are brought together with guidance teachers, workshop teachers and leading representatives of the sector.

The Ministry, which initiated the “Vocational and Technical Education Information Activities” upon the instructions of the Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, aims to introduce all aspects of vocational education to students and parents.

Guidance counselors, workshop teachers and leading representatives of the sector are taking an active role in the information activities aimed at all students and their parents, especially 7th and 8th grade secondary school students. These activities are planned to continue intensively until the end of May.

Contents on the advantages of vocational training

The contents prepared within the scope of the Vocational and Technical Education Policy Document strategies provide comprehensive information on important issues such as the correct introduction of vocational education to students, school and program types, field and branch selection, and transition to higher education.

It also includes detailed information about the rights of students and graduates, the advantages of vocational training, and opportunities in the labor market. These contents are a valuable guide for students in making decisions that will shape their future.

Events will also be held during My Profession, My Future and My Career Week

Provincial and district national education directorates and schools will plan activities that will raise awareness about the vocational and technical education process during the “My Profession, My Future and My Career” Week, which will be held in the last week of May.

Vocational training offers training in 53 fields and 114 branches.

While studies continue in line with the new vision for the future in vocational education, with the aim of “everyone should have a profession”, the aim is to raise students equipped with skills that will contribute to social development through training provided in 53 branches in 114 fields, focusing on Ahi culture.

It is aimed for students to gain professional knowledge and skills in line with the values ​​included in the “virtue-value-action” framework of the Turkish Century Education Model.
