A New Era Begins for Electric Vehicles in Trabzon!

Within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed between Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality and Karadeniz Technical University, a comprehensive study was undertaken to pioneer the city's electric vehicle transformation.

Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Support Services Department has prepared the 'Trabzon Electric Vehicle Outlook Report' by signing an important study that will pioneer the city's electric vehicle transformation. Within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed with Karadeniz Technical University, the electric vehicle ownership forecast for Trabzon was calculated according to the data of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK). Accordingly, the number of electric vehicles used in Trabzon is expected to be 2025 for 3 and 17 for 2030.

2024 VEHICLES SOLD IN 832

The prepared report also detailed the steps that need to be taken to strengthen Trabzon's electric vehicle ecosystem in light of scientific data. While addressing the point reached by electric vehicle use in the world and Türkiye and future projections, there are 2024 fast and 832 slow charging sockets in Trabzon, where 126 electric vehicles were sold in 149. There are 4,77 percent of electric vehicles per socket. This rate is 6.75 percent in Turkey.
