51 New Buses Coming to Diyarbakir for Comfortable Transportation

Diyarbakir Metropolitan Municipality has initiated the necessary procedures for the purchase of 51 new buses in order to ensure that public transportation is convenient, comfortable and safe. The buses, which will be received from the company in 2025, will be offered to the public.

The Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts to expand its vehicle fleet of 330. The Metropolitan Municipality Council has decided to increase the number of buses in order to provide the public with a reliable, comfortable and fast transportation opportunity. While the necessary procedures for the purchase of 14 buses were previously carried out, the delivery of the buses in question is expected.

Orders placed for 51 new buses

The Metropolitan Municipality has started the process to purchase 14 new buses in addition to the 51 buses. The 51 buses ordered will be delivered to the Metropolitan Municipality by the company step by step in 2025.

'Buses will be offered to the public'

Providing information about the new buses to be purchased, Transportation Department Director Temel Cengiz emphasized that they continue their work to solve the problems in public transportation and said, “Steps are being taken to solve the problems in public transportation. In the first stage, 14 buses were purchased. The money for these buses has been deposited. The buses will be included in our fleet as soon as possible. The purchase of 51 more buses has been completed. The fees will be paid gradually and they will be offered to our people. In this way, the problems in public transportation will be resolved and comfortable and accessible service will be provided to our citizens.”

Cengiz, who drew attention to the fact that they are trying to solve the problems experienced by citizens in terms of transportation, stated that they will continue to provide service with a total of 51 new buses with the inclusion of 65 vehicles in the fleet. Cengiz said, “In this context, we will solve the problems experienced by our citizens in public transportation. Our work for comfortable and accessible transportation will continue.”
