Sustainable Energy Move from BURULAŞ

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality subsidiary BURULAŞ has added a new one to its environmentally friendly energy projects. The Solar Power Plant (SPP), established on the roof of the BursaRay Operation and Maintenance Center, started energy production as of January 7, 2025. This step draws attention as an indicator of the importance Bursa attaches to sustainable energy.

Environmentally Friendly Transportation with Solar Energy

BURULAŞ aims to produce over 1375 kWh of energy per year with the 1.500.000 kW solar power plant it has installed at the BursaRay Operation and Maintenance Center. Thanks to this project, energy costs will decrease significantly while a contribution will be made to an environmentally friendly transportation infrastructure. With this investment, Bursa is on its way to becoming one of the leading cities in renewable energy use.

Bursa's Clean Energy Vision

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality continues to invest in environmental projects with a sustainable urbanism approach. BURULAŞ's solar energy investment is an important example of the use of renewable energy in large-scale transportation systems such as BursaRay.

This project will both reduce carbon emissions and take an important step towards energy independence. With this investment, BURULAŞ continues to strengthen Bursa's environmentally friendly transportation infrastructure and produce sustainable solutions for the future.
