Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality will bring winter lovers together at the KARFEST 15 event in Kuzuyayla on Saturday, February 2025. In the giant organization where entertainment and excitement will be experienced at the highest level, the Kuzuyayla Sled Track will be put into service and the excitement will reach its peak. Kartepe Cable Car and free ring services will be in service to prevent traffic disruptions during the weekend.
ALL PREPARATIONS ARE COMPLETED
Organized under the leadership of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, KARFEST, which will warm the hearts of citizens on cold winter days, will once again offer winter lovers a magnificent day this year. All preparations for KARFEST, which will be held on Saturday, February 15th between 12.00:21.00 and XNUMX:XNUMX in Kartepe Kuzuyayla, have been completed. Everyone will have their fill of fun at the event, which will be organized in collaboration with Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, Kartepe Municipality and Kartepe Tourism Association, Kartepe Natural Life Protection Culture and Tourism Association, Kartepe Platform for Going Without Seeing and Kavibu Association.
THERE WILL BE MANY EVENTS
KARFEST, which will be organized with the aim of reflecting the natural, historical, touristic, social and cultural elements of Kocaeli; announcing that our city is a four-season tourism city, developing winter tourism in Kartepe and strengthening the national perception of the Kartepe brand, and providing economic benefits to the local tradesmen, will include stage events, concerts, field events, winter-themed workshops and refreshments.
EVERYONE WILL HAVE FUN
The festival will start at 12.00:13.00 with DJ music and continue with entertaining events throughout the day. The festival will continue with various competitions at 14.00:16.00 and will provide breathtaking moments to the participants with the fire-fighter show. The festival will be colored with the performances of the artist Muhammed Vanal, who will take the stage at 19.00:90. Karaoke and competitions will continue at XNUMX:XNUMX and a magnificent closing will be held with the XNUMXs concert of the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory at XNUMX:XNUMX.
TOboggan runway is being put into service
KARFEST is also preparing to offer its participants a new experience this year with the opening of the Kuzuyayla sled track. The sled track, which was completed in the Metropolitan Municipality's Kuzuyayla project, will be opened to citizens with the KARFEST 2025 event. Visitors who come to the track covered in white snow will have the opportunity to experience adventure and excitement with their sleds.
DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES
The KARFEST 2025 event to be held in Kuzuyayla will feature various field activities. Snow themed events such as “Snowshoe Walk”, “Igloo Photo Shooting Area”, “Snowmobile Safari”, “Snowman Competition”, “Award-Winning Snowball Competition”, “Mobile Swing”, “Snow Volleyball” will be offered to the participants. In addition, the snow sculptures to be exhibited in the area will create an art gallery effect for visitors.
WINTER THEMED WORKSHOPS
The metropolitan KARFEST festival area will offer not only entertainment but also learning opportunities. With the “Sled Making Workshop”, “Snowman Keychain Making”, “Bird Feeder Making” and “Cloth Bag Painting” activities, participants will both experience the joy of making their own products and have a fun and awareness-raising experience with environmentally friendly work. In addition, activities such as “Leather Necklace Making Workshop”, “Face Painting for Children” and “Balloon Distribution” will provide unforgettable moments for young guests in the festival area. This diversity in the snow-white nature of Kuzuyayla will enchant everyone.
SUJUK BREAD AND SAHLEP TREATS
While all the details are being planned in the area to ensure that the guests attending the festival have a perfect day, warming and refreshment points will be created and refreshments such as sausage bread, ayran, tea, sahlep and popcorn will be distributed to the guests attending the festival throughout the day.
IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO CLIMB KUZUYAYLA BY PRIVATE VEHICLE
Plans were made for the necessary transportation coordination to prevent any disruption of transportation on the Kartepe Mountain road. There will be no private vehicle exit from the 3 km road that branches off from the mountain road to Kuzuyayla. It was planned that participants will reach the Karfest area with the cable car and free ring services.
TRANSPORTATION, CABLE CAR AND FREE RING SERVICES
All details have been considered to avoid traffic problems and reduce traffic congestion at the event to be held in Kuzuyayla on Saturday, February 15. In this context, transportation can be provided by Kartepe Teleferik, and free shuttle services will be organized from Maşukiye Marketplace to Kuzuyayla, and from Derbent Ömer Yalçın Street to Kartepe Teleferik Station. The shuttle services will start at 10:00, and private vehicles will not be used to reach the festival area.
