National 'WILL' Period Started in Muğla and Istanbul Airport

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the domestic and national air traffic monitoring software İRADE has started to be used in Istanbul Airport and Muğla Dalaman Airport. Minister Uraloğlu said, “We have started work for the installation in Trabzon, Antalya, Muğla Milas Bodrum and İzmir Adnan Menderes airports.”

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu reminded that the local and national air traffic imaging software Interactive Radar Analysis and Data Display (IRADE), developed by the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ), was first used at Istanbul Atatürk Airport and Çukurova Airport.

Minister Uraloğlu stated that İRADE software has started to be used in Istanbul Airport and Muğla Dalaman Airport, and said, “Work has started for the installation in Trabzon, Antalya, Muğla Milas Bodrum and İzmir Adnan Menderes Airports, and we expect the installations to be completed in the first half of 2025.”

Great Convenience in Air Traffic Management

Minister Uraloğlu, who provided information about the software prepared by air traffic safety personnel and air traffic controllers, emphasized that İRADE is a secure, high-tech system that complies with international standards. Minister Uraloğlu, who emphasized that they attach importance to local and national elements in every project, stated, “The system provides great convenience to users in air traffic management by gathering various data sources such as real-time radar imaging, AWOS, ATIS and METAR data, flight plan data, NOTAM tracking and AIP access in a single interface.”

Full Integration Every Time

Minister Uraloğlu underlined that İRADE, which displays critical information obtained from different sources such as automatic air observation system data, AFTN and NOTAM data, current AIP access and meteorological radar and satellite data on a single screen, which are necessary for the control and maintenance of air traffic, is indispensable for air traffic controllers. Minister Uraloğlu said, “İRADE, which has high efficiency and flexible usage features, reduces our external dependency in critical systems and always provides full integration with the aviation industry, which is developing and growing every day.”
