Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced the good news that the production of Turkey's first domestic and national electric high-speed train set will begin at the Turkey Rail System Vehicles Industry Inc. (TÜRASAŞ) facilities in Sakarya. The body welding ceremony of this train, which will have a speed of 225 kilometers, will be held today, completing an important stage.
Turkey's Breakthrough in Rail Systems
Minister Uraloğlu reminded that domestic and national electric train sets with a speed of 160 kilometers were previously produced, and stated that three sets of these trains are currently carrying passengers on the Adapazarı-Gebze line. Now, production of a faster and more modern train will begin. This development makes a significant contribution to Turkey's goals of reducing external dependency by increasing domestic production capacity in rail systems.
Production of a Train with a Speed of 225 Kilometers
This initiative, which opens a new page in Turkey's high-speed train projects, will make the country's transportation infrastructure more modern and competitive. The new high-speed trains to be produced will shorten travel times and provide a comfortable travel opportunity. In addition, this project aims to increase the domestic production rate in Turkey's railway industry and develop its technological infrastructure.
New Era in Railway Transportation
Turkey has been attaching great importance to railway investments in recent years. With the expansion of high-speed train lines and the increase in domestic train production, transportation throughout the country is becoming more efficient. This production move by TÜRASAŞ is seen as an important step that will take Turkey further in railway technology.
The start of production of domestic and national high-speed trains with a speed of 225 kilometers per hour will strengthen Turkey's independence in the railway sector and pave the way for larger projects in the future.
