
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced the publication of the first issue of the internationally refereed journal “Transport and Infrastructure”. Minister Uraloğlu said, “In our first issue, the Development Road project, one of our country’s major transport projects, was discussed in all its aspects.” Uraloğlu also stated that the second issue will cover the subject of sustainability in transport systems.
Minister Uraloğlu announced the publication of the first issue of the “Transportation and Infrastructure” journal, an internationally refereed and multidisciplinary academic publication. Minister Uraloğlu also stated that the journal can be accessed online and said, “Our journal was prepared to contribute to the academic world and the sector in the field of transportation and infrastructure.”
Minister Uraloğlu stated that the magazine will support sectoral development and will be an important resource for the scientific world, and said:
“Increasing scientific studies in the transportation and infrastructure sector is indispensable for increasing Turkey’s competitiveness and ensuring sustainable development. The ‘Transportation and Infrastructure’ journal aims to increase scientific knowledge in the sector and to enable the publication of academic research at national and international levels.”
The Path to Development was Discussed in the First Issue
Minister Uraloğlu stated that the Development Road Project was examined in detail in the first issue of the magazine and that the articles discussed the importance of the Development Road, its benefits and the strategic values it carries for the sector.
“In our first issue, the Development Road project, one of our country’s major transportation projects, was covered in all its aspects. While our writers evaluate the impact of the Development Road on global trade, they also focus on current issues in the sector. Thus, it is aimed to develop new strategies and create more effective policies in the transportation sector,” he said.
“Sustainability in Transportation Systems Will Be Covered in the Second Issue”
Minister Uraloğlu also pointed out that a call for articles had been made for the second issue of the magazine, and said, “The second issue of the Transportation and Infrastructure magazine will cover sustainability in transportation systems. The issue will focus on innovative research, applied projects and theoretical contributions aimed at re-evaluating transportation systems in line with sustainability principles. The deadline for submitting articles to the magazine is April 20, 2025.”
Emphasizing that they aim for the journal to be a permanent resource in the academic world, Uraloğlu drew attention to the importance of sharing scientific knowledge and said, “Life is a continuous learning and development process. Scientific knowledge and academic studies play a major role in this process. I believe that our ‘Transportation and Infrastructure’ journal will be a valuable resource.”
